Celebrating Gary T Meyer

Gary Thomas Meyer passed away peacefully on December 11th, 2022 at the age of 55. He is survived by his daughter Madeline whom he loved with all of his heart. He is now reunited with his parents Victor and Joan Meyer.

Gary grew up as the youngest in a household of sisters, Ellen, Linda and Marleen. The deep roots of the south side of Milwaukee ran deep within him. He loved his local and state ball teams and was most comfortable with a baseball bat, golf club, or bike handle in his grasp. His years behind the butcher counter and catering food events deepened his life long connections and relationships to all who admired and loved him. He enjoyed a lifetime of cooking, especially for others, and is taking with him all of his secret recipes that he created with such ease. It seemed that everywhere Gary went someone knew him. He always had connections or "knew a guy". He was amused by the oddities of life, which in turn provided him with many stories of his own. His dry humor made us all laugh. We all carry a bit of Gary in our hearts and he will be missed by many, but the stories within us will continue on.

A Celebration of Gary's Life will be held January 6th, 2022 at the American Legion Post at 9159 Beloit Road, Milwaukee, WI 53227 between the hours of 4:00pm - 7:00pm. We welcome friends and family to come together and share stories while celebrating the one and only Gary Meyer.

Gary's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Cremation Society of Milwaukee for their care and support during this difficult time.
