Gary Lee Mowery Jr., a man of remarkable character and joy, passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on December 7, 1986, Gary's life was characterized by his loving nature, selfless actions, and courageous spirit. He was a beacon of light and warmth to all who knew him, and his departure leaves a void that cannot be filled.
Gary is survived by a loving family that includes his parents, Gary (Barbara) Mowery, and Donna Mowery; his cherished girlfriend, Jessie; his beloved son, Bryden Jackson; and his siblings, Heather (Jeremy) Brookman, Kristy (Harry) Burgess, Josh (fiancé Sarah Speck) Mowery, Jennifer Mowery, Hannah Trask, and Tiffany (fiancé Steven Glover) Trask. His legacy of love and laughter will live on through his many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Laikan, who undoubtedly welcomed his father with open arms.
A new member of the Birch Run Moose Lodge #2426. Gary's passions were as varied as they were intense. A dedicated PC gamer, he found joy and camaraderie in the virtual worlds he explored and the friends he made along the way. His love for the outdoors was equally profound, with fishing trips and adventures in nature providing him with both solace and excitement. Music was another source of happiness for Gary, and he could often be found enjoying tunes from a variety of genres, reflecting his eclectic and open-hearted nature.
The Renaissance Festival held a special place in Gary's heart. He reveled in the medieval ambiance, the vibrant performances, and the sense of community that the festival fostered. It was a place where he could fully express his adventurous spirit and immerse himself in the joy of the moment.
Gary's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. He approached every day with courage and a selfless desire to improve the lives of those around him. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his extraordinary presence.
As we bid farewell to Gary Lee Mowery Jr., we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by compassion, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Though he has left this world, his spirit remains an indelible part of the tapestry of our lives, guiding us with the same love and courage he displayed every day.
Cremation has taken place and A celebration of Gary's life will be held 1:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Birch Run Moose Lodge. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville. Memorial contributions in memory of Gary may be made to the family.
