Gary Nunn, age 80 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio on Thursday, August 29th.
He was born and grew up in the Red Lion/Springboro Ohio and graduated from Springboro High School class of ’62. Gary was also a member of Vietnam Veterans Chapter 97. He served his country in the Army when he was drafted to Vietnam in ’65. He was military police until ’67 and then he came home. Gary was a member of the Red Lion United Methodist Church.
As a single parent, Gary raised his daughter and was the most incredible father. He helped his daughter raise her children and continued his reign of being the best grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is preceded death by his mother, Virginia Nunn; his aunt, Geneva Cramer and his grandparents that raised him, Roy Lee Nunn and Mary Etta Nunn.
He is survived by his daughter, Le Etta (Stuart) Wright; granddaughter, Brittany (Jorden) Midlam; grandsons, Damien Riley, Carson Wright and Bryceson Wright and his great-grandchildren, Cayden Libertini, Axel Jones and Iris Midlam.
Family will receive guest from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, September 10th at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439). A funeral service will begin at 11 am on Wednesday, September 11th at the funeral home with Pastor Sandy Vogele officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Dayton National Cemetery.
