Gary James Olley, age 74 of Howell, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born May 10, 1948, the son of James and Dolores (Wolne) Olley. He is survived by his wife LeAnn, whom he surprised with marriage on March 27, 2021, in Howell. Father of Dana (Kevin) Phillips, stepchildren Sean (Heather Campbell) Spurlock, Haley (Travis Messenger) Spurlock, and grandchildren Isabella and Benjamin Spurlock. Also survived by his brothers Gregory (Leona), David (Robin) and James (Diane) Olley and Al (Jodi) and Rick (Kathy) Laporte and Gary ( Melissa) Peltier. Gary was an avid horseman and was a member of the Michigan and the National Reining Horse Association. He also enjoyed shooting and was a member of the Howell Gun Club. A visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald's Chapel of Howell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html), the Reining Horse Foundation (reiningfoundation.com/donate) or Horses Haven (www.horseshaven.org).

I had talked to Gary the week before always enjoyed our conversation sorry for your loss always looked forward to seeing Gary at the reining shows he will be missed god bless
