Rosalie Olley, 87 of 23 Polk Lane, Elysburg and formerly of Mount Carmel passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in her home.
Born on December 28, 1937 at the former Ashland State Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Zolnierowicz) Karlovich.
She was a 1955 graduate of Mount Carmel High School.
On November 7, 1959 in the former Our Mother of Consolation Church, Mount Carmel, she married James L. Olley who preceded her in death on December 24, 2021. Together they shared sixty-two years of marriage.
She was a member of Divine Redeemer Parish, Mount Carmel.
Rosalie enjoyed going to polka dances. She loved cooking and was especially known for her chicken cutlets and lemon dessert.
Surviving are her son, Mark Olley and his wife Nicole of Elysburg; two granddaughters, Maura Olley and her companion Brandon Mowery and Jamie Olley; one grandson, Nicholas Olley; two great-grandsons, Daniel Lawler and Jaidan Spade; one brother, Thomas Karlovich and his significant other Sandra Bogart; one brother-in-law, Carl Olley; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and her husband were her son, James T. Olley; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Karlovich and Mary Lou Olley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 28th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel, with Reverend Bernard Wamayose, A. J., Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap, Elysburg. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervisor. Transferal prayers will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Mommy and Me Rescue, 610 East Fifth Street, Mt. Carmel, PA 17851.
