Rev. Gary Wayne Packett

Rev. Gary Wayne Packett - age 77 of Loudon, passed away Friday morning, November 28, 2025, at his home. He founded Shepherds Fold Baptist Church and was currently a member of Jackson Chapel Baptist Church. Gary Wayne was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army and was honored with distinction with the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was retired from TVA where he operated heavy equipment.
Gary Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Nora McMahan Packett; parents, Cecil and Lucille Condra Packett; brother, Ronald Packett; brothers-in-law, Bobby Hamilton and Mark Smith; nephew, Bradley Packett; niece, Pam Hamilton.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Packett, Brian and Yvonne Packett; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike Packett (Wanda) and Robert Packett; sisters, Linda Hamilton and Patricia Smith; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 3rd at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Greg Jameson officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Thursday morning and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services with full military honors conferred by the Loudon County Veteran Honor Guard.
