September 8, 1952 – January 17, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Mac Parker, beloved brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, who left us on January 17, 2025, at the age of 72.
Gary proudly served in the United States Navy for 28 years as Master Chief and served in the Texas National Guard until 2016, dedicating his life to his country with honor and distinction. Throughout his military career, he received numerous commendations and awards, reflecting his exceptional commitment to duty and his unwavering service.
After retiring from the Navy, Gary embarked on a successful second career as a store manager with Hallmark, where he was known for his dedication, leadership, mentorship and passion for customer service. His warm personality and strong work ethic made him a cherished member of his community and a trusted figure to those who worked with him.
Gary is survived by his significant other and fiancé Katherine Stone of Round Rock, TX, sister Janna Parker of Round Rock, TX, and sister Valerie Henisey of Mckinney, Tx, daughter Elizabeth Parker of Lewisville, TX, daughter Cheryl Parramore and son-in-law Bart Parramore of Nevar, FL and son Andrew Parker and daughter-in-law Lorena Parker of Terrell, TX, step-son Lt Col Retired Scott Phillips of EL Paso, TX and step-daughter Jennifer Phillips of Round Rock, TX, grandchildren Bryce, Bryan, Blayne, Baylee, Bishop and wife Mary, Brady, Robert James Henry (RJ), great-grandson Anson James Parker, niece Emma Morris and husband Kian, nephew David Parker and wife Sabrina, and great-nephew Koah Anton Morris. He leaves a legacy of love and dedication that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Beck Funeral Home, with visitation at 9AM and service at 10AM, where friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Gary's life and the impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Gary will be interred in Central Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen, TX with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gary's name at Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter where he adopted all of his beloved kitties. Donors can connect with the shelter via the donate button at the top of the screen at https://www.wilcotx.gov/pets. In the "Customer Name" field of the payment site, insert the name "Gary Parker."
