Aulds Funeral Home - ShreveportGary Lee Perrin, age 83, of Stonewall, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospice – The Carpenter House in Shreveport, Louisiana, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Gary was born on February 8, 1942, in Wanette, Oklahoma, to Howard and Irene Perrin. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his sense of duty and love for his nation.
Gary enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful moments. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, often accompanied by his faithful dog, Red. Gary lived life on his own terms, finding happiness in the things he loved most and the people he held dear.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Howard Perrin; his sisters, Norma Anthony, Nancy Williamson, and Gail Perrin; and his nephew, Michael Perrin.
Gary is survived by his brother, James Parnell of Shreveport, Louisiana; his daughters, Leann Delagarza and husband Andres of Stonewall, Louisiana, Patricia Manes and husband Fred of Hornbeck, Louisiana, and Tammy Mullins and husband Dean of Lewisburg, Kentucky; and his son, Paul Hinton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends who will cherish his memory.
Gary will be laid to rest at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana, on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses who provided Gary with excellent medical care, and special gratitude to the compassionate staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice – The Carpenter House for the kindness and comfort shown to him during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
