Gary Duane Rabon, born on February 22, 1958, in Dunedin, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at Haven Hospice in Lake City. He is remembered as a dedicated son, brother, uncle, and friend. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Franklin Rabon.
Gary thrived in the outdoors, taking delight in hunting and fishing. He cherished the bonds he shared with his mother, Betty Bass, along with his sisters, Wanda Wall and Malissa Perryman. Gary's affection for his nieces—Dana (Jason) Johnson, Lynsi (Jesse) Bielling, Hali Shaw, and Danielle (Jesse) Raen-Saunders—was evident, and he took joy in being an integral part of their lives, as well as their children, Payton Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Jax Bieling, and Ryker Shaw.
He will be honored with a graveside service at Dedan Cemetery in Brooker, Florida, on June 7, 2025, at 2:00pm with a Pastor Terry Elixson officiating. Gary's life, filled with love and family bonds, will be celebrated by all who were fortunate to know him. Archer-Milton Funeral Home is honored to serve Gary's family during this time. 386-496-2008 www.archerfunerlhome.com
