Gary Kenneth Rose

July 17, 1948 – March 1, 2026

Gary Kenneth Rose, 78. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gary Kenneth Rose. After bravely fighting for years, Gary succumbed to his illness and departed this life on March 1, 2026. Gary Kenneth Rose was born on July 17, 1948, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to the late Patricia and James Sidney Rose. Upon graduating from high school, Gary decided to join the armed forces and became a Marine on July 21, 1965. After serving and being honorably discharged, Gary returned home and became a Postal Service employee, holding several other positions before retiring from the V.A. Medical Center. After years in East Orange and Elizabeth, NJ, Gary relocated to Rossville, Georgia, and finally made his home in Lafayette, Georgia. Gary was a man who enjoyed life's simple pleasures, and in his leisure, he loved roller skating, shooting pool, dancing, and listening to the timeless music of Earth, Wind & Fire. His warm spirit, easygoing presence, and sense of humor brought light and laughter to many who knew and loved him.

Gary leaves behind his devoted and loving wife, Terrie Rose; a sister, Denise Baker; three sons: Gary Kenneth Rose II, Jamal Quadee Jones, and Christian Edward Jones; a daughter, Jourdan Nicole Concepción; a beloved friend, Debra Lynn Carter; and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Gary's legacy will live on through the love he so freely gave and the memories he created with those closest to him. He will be greatly missed.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering and honoring Gary on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for our family during this difficult time.
