Burial: Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky
Gary Lee Rubado, age 83, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Kentucky.
Gary was born December 9, 1940 in Plattsburgh, New York, son of the late Lee Rubado and Viola LaBarge Rubado. In addition to her parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Gary "Alex" Rubado.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Rubado; two daughters, Anvia (Matt) Sheldon of Cleveland, Ohio and Nicole (Steve) Belcher of Paintsville, Kentucky; one brother, Robert Rubado of Ellensburg, New York; and five grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
