Timothy D. Baldwin, 75, of
Grayson, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 25 at UK St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. Tim was born December 18, 1950 in
Paintsville, Kentucky. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Grayson. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.C. and Berneeda Green Baldwin; and his brothers, David and Van. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lisa Gilbert Baldwin; son Aaron Baldwin of Grayson; a daughter, Jill (Tony) Cooper of Lancaster, Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Donna Baldwin of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Andrea Baldwin of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; grandchildren, Lilly Baldwin, Caroline Baldwin, and Owen Cooper; Nephews, Adam Baldwin and David Burbrink; Nieces, Allison Caudill, Marissa Caudill, Ashley Baldwin, and Hannah Moore, and many other loving family members and friends he loved like family.
Tim was a proud 1968 Graduate of Prichard High School, and furthered his education at Morehead State University with a bachelor's in math and master's degree in education. Tim worked for Transervice selling industrial tools for 17 years but his true love was the 20 years he spent teaching Math in the Carter County School System. His desire for his students to learn was unsurpassed.
To say Tim loved sports is an understatement. He coached everything from Little League Baseball and Softball to Middle School Football, High School Football and Softball. He was an avid fan of the East Carter Raiders, U.K. Wildcats, and the Cincinnati Reds - and a long-suffering fan of the Cleveland Browns.
Tim loved Bluegrass Music. His favorite month was June because he could spend a week at Rudyfest. The remainder of the year he'd sit in his truck singing along to the bluegrass music that was blaring.
