York- Mr. Gary Michael Ruff, 61, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at home. Mr. Ruff was born in Greensboro, NC and formerly lived in Fort Mill, SC. He was the son of the late John Charles Ruff and the late Imogene McAbee Ruff.
He was a member of Indian Land Baptist Church, and a member of the RC Fly Club in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He loved remote control cars, and airplanes both electronic and gas. Mr. Ruff also loved Elvis Presley and Billy Ray Cyrus. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Imogene Ruff, his father John Charles Ruff, his brother Robert Ruff and several aunts.
Mr. Ruff is survived by his sister Tracy Hurston (Marvin) of Front Royal, VA, his daughter Amanda Ruff (Lance) of Rock Hill, SC, his son Charles Ruff (Terrie) of Clover, SC. Nieces Kristen Ruff and Heather Sedlack. Nephew Shannon Hall. Four Grandchildren Michael, Beth, Gracelyn, and Shyanne. Two very good friends, Brenda Pauley (Peanuts).
Services for Mr. Ruff will be at 11:00 AM at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC on Monday October 14th, 2024.
Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Sunset Cemetery, 412 W. Sumter St. Shelby, NC on Monday October 14th, 2024.
Visitation for family and friends is at 10:00 AM at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC on Monday October 14th, 2024.
