Gary Ryan

Gary Tilton Ryan, 84, was called home to his eternal resting place on March 24, 2026. Gary was born on August 3, 1941, in Wellsburg, West Virginia. He later made his way to Ohio, where he built a life filled with love, family, and lasting friendships.

On June 20, 1987, he married the love of his life, Mary Ryan. Together, they owned and operated Mary's Decorating for many years, working side by side painting and wallpapering homes throughout the community.

Gary was a talented songwriter and entertainer. Following in his Mother and Sisters footsteps, he learned to play the piano at a young age. Gary spent much of his life sharing his gift of music with others. He became a well-known musician in the Cleveland area. He even wrote a song for his beloved Mary titled "Rainbow," a reflection of his deep love for her. One of the family's most cherished favorites was his song "The Popcorn Man," which brought joy and laughter to those who heard it.

Gary had a smile that could light up a room. He had a special way with people and made everyone around him feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents, and his sister. He is survived by his children. He was a proud PaPa and great-PaPa who adored his family deeply. Gary was also a cherished uncle and a friend to many.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gary's life on April 18,2026 at the Normandy Breakwater Apartments, 22701 Lake Road, Rocky River, OH 44116.
