Gary Sanders

Gary J. Sanders, 81 of Snead passed away Sunday September 21, 2025, at his residence. Gary was born December 18, 1943, in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, the son of Jacob Junior Sanders and Mary Elizabeth Donovan Sanders. He graduated from Rowlesburg High School and then served in the United States Army from June 1961 - June 1963. He owned and operated A1 Electric Motor Service in Snead for many years before retiring. He and Linda Bullard Sanders were married 45 years this past June. He is survived by his wife: Linda Sanders; daughter: Julie Sanders; sisters: Mary Kay Dean and Sandy (Jim) Weaver; grandchildren: Jessie Sanders, Trevor Sanders and Alexa (Arlen) Stinson; great grandchildren: Cayden Brooks Hebert, Andersyn Stinson and Tate Stinson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Junior and Mary Sanders; son: Jerome Sanders; brothers: Ranny Sanders, Allen Sanders and Bobby Sanders and sister: Cindy Rossetti. Funeral Service was 1:00 p.m. Friday September 26, 2025, at Blountsville Funeral Home with Brother Jeff Bullard and Brother James Lowery officiating. The burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Blountsville Funeral Home directing. Visitation was 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday at Blountsville Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Jason Bullard, Randy Bradford, Donnie Bullard, Scott Bullard, Brandon Bullard and Trevor Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers: John Ganus, Ricky Allison and Dalton Wester.
