It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Sawyers, aged 76, a resident of Euless, Texas, on 7/8/2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. Gary was born on November 18, 1947, in Ramona, Oklahoma.
Gary was a distinguished graduate of Augusta High School, Butler County Community College, and Wichita State University. Before pursuing his education, he honorably served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Sawyers, and his daughters, Shelly (Robbi) Sawyers, Delisa (Jud) Hardage, and Kim (Lonnie) Dwyer. He also leaves behind grandchildren Zack (Kristin) McClary, Courtney (Tristin) Judd, Abby (Tanner Bercier) Hardage, and Reece Sawyers, as well as great-grandchildren Quinn McClary, Hayden Judd, and Clay McClary.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Wendt.
The family will be observing a private period of mourning, and in accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in honor of Gary to CK Family Services at ckfamilyservices.org/give/.
