Gary N. Schauer

Gary N. Schauer, 83, went to be with his Lord on May 3, 2025. He was the son of the late John and Esther (Smith) Schauer. He was the loving husband of Sandra F. (Artz) Schauer, to whom he was married 35 years. He is also survived by 2 children, Michelle McGuffin, Port Republic, MD & Keith Schauer, Jacksonville, FL; 2 stepchildren Gregory Singer husband of Patricia, Richland & Douglas Singer, Rochester, NY; 4, grandchildren, Morgan & Ryan McGuffin, Melissa & Kristin Schauer; a great granddaughter; brother Howard Schauer, Lebanon; sister-in-law, Sally Schauer; and serveral nieces & nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Joan, wife of the late Dale Landis; brothers, Leo Schauer and John, husband of the late Vicky Dissinger.
Gary was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Lebanon, where he served as Deacon for several years. He was a former member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Lebanon.
Gary retired from Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster and worked at Bethlehem Steel in Lebanon for 19 years.
He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, exercising at the Lebanon YMCA, and working on various committees at his church.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 2025 at 11 a.m., at Grace United Church of Christ, 1000 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon, PA with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
Grose Funeral Home, Inc., Myerstown was entrusted with the arrangements.
