Gary Walter Sinard, age 69, passed away on December 26, 2025. A man of quiet strength and legendary wit, Gary leaves behind a legacy of unwavering guidance and a family who will forever miss his quick-fire humor.
A proud Army Veteran, Gary served as an armorer in the 17th Artillery. His military service reflected the same traits he carried throughout his life: precision, reliability, and a protective nature. Following his service, Gary became well-known for his love of basketball. Whether he was playing on the court or coaching from the sidelines, he found joy in the game and the camaraderie it brought. In quieter moments, he was an avid coin collector, finding peace in the history and detail of his collection.
Above all, Gary was a devoted family man. He was the person who showed up—anytime and anywhere he was needed. His children and grandchildren knew they could always count on him for endless support and a clever joke to lighten any situation.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Ann Sinard. Siblings Dale Sinard, Paul Sinard, and Lon Sinard.
He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward: his children, Stacey (William) Laing, Craig (Mandy) Sinard, and Dustin (Kasey) Sinard. He was the beloved Grandfather to Trey (Jamie) Laing, Luke Sinard, Christina Laing, Julie Sinard, Kara Sinard, and Asher Sinard. Special friend Eugena Webb Costner. Siblings: Delores Horner and Jerry Sinard. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close longstanding friends.
Funeral Services will held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with family receiving friends between the hours of 12:00pm - 2:00pm prior to the service. Military Graveside Service will be held following the service in Beth Carr Cemetery.
