GARY SWENO

GARY SWENO Gary Sweno, 73, of Montevideo passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, at Luther Haven. Gary Allen Sweno was born on July 24, 1952, in Montevideo, the son of Raymond and Clarice (Bartz) Sweno. He grew up in Milan and graduated from Milan High School. Gary served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Europe. Upon his return, he went to Canby Technical College to become an electrician. After graduation, Gary started his own business, Gary Sweno Electric, based out of Milan. He served the local communities for over 30 years. Gary met Judy Wright and they were married in 2005. In 2014, they moved from Milan to Montevideo to enjoy retirement. Gary's favorite hobby was fishing and his usual fishing partner was his dad. Gary is survived by his brother, Mark Sweno of Madison and stepson, Brian Cordie of Hutchinson. Gary is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy; brother, Roger.
