Gary Thomas Obituary
Gary Hugh Thomas, age 71 of Gordon County, GA, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Quinton Memorial Health Care of Dalton.
Gary was born on October 1, 1952, the son of Martha Ross Thomas and the late Hugh Carl Thomas. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by grandparents, Martin and Nell Thomas, Tom and Bertha Ross, and a nephew, Brett Stephen Thomas. Gary was a graduate of Calhoun High School Class of 1971. He then served his country honorably in the Georgia National Guard. Before his retirement, he worked as a chemical analyst for Artisans.
Gary is survived by: two sisters, Debby Thomas Gowens and her husband Dewey, and Cindy Lumpkin; three brothers, Steve Thomas and his wife Janie, David Thomas and his wife Silma, and Eddie Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 11 AM until 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2 PM from the Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Gary Hibberts officiating.
