Gary Travis Obituary

Gary W. Travis, 76, of Manchester, died August 12, 2025 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Manchester on January 24, 1949 to Arthur and Theresa (LeBlanc) Travis. He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in 1967 and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Gary was a life member with the United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 131 in Hooksett. He worked on many large projects including the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant and the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack. He also traveled to many power plant shutdowns throughout the country.

He was a member of Club Mont Royal in Manchester.

Gary was an avid reader. He also loved to cook for family outings and enjoyed fishing in the Lakes Region.

He was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by three siblings, Terry Ann Joyce and Karen Rogers and her husband, William, all of Manchester and Kevin Travis and his wife, Sharon, of Bedford; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Per Gary's wishes, Services were private with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.

Memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church Food Pantry and mailed to 14 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03103
