Gary B. Trent “Bugeye”, age 69 of Lafayette, TN passed away Sunday morning, August 24, 2025 at Macon Community Hospital. Gary is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN.

Funeral Services for Gary B. Trent “Bugeye”, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, August 27, 2025, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Anthony Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the Drury Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Janey Lee McClanahan Trent, Parents, Vestle D. & Lillie Mai Bergdorf Trent, Sisters, Debbie Hawkins, Polly Woodard, & Helen Mae Bush, Brothers, Ricky Trent, Jerry Trent, Terry Trent & Carl Lee Trent.

Survivors include: Daughters, Tonya Smith & husband, Joey, Michelle Gregory & companion, Mike Moore all of Lafayette, 7 Grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Brayden Smith, Caiden Smith, Lexie Gregory, Taylor Gregory, Emma Gregory, Koben Gregory, Brothers, George Trent & wife, Robbie, Charlie Trent & wife, Delores all of Lafayette, Sisters-in-law, Evelyn Reid of Lafayette, Kathy Hogue, & husband, David of Glasgow, KY, Brothers-in-law, Robert McClanahan & wife, Debbie, Johnny McClanahan, & wife, Jackie all of Lafayette, and several nieces & nephews.
