Naugatuck - Gary Valentine passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born on December 17, 1954, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to the late Harold and Jane Valentine.
Gary will be remembered for his genuine love of spending time with family and friends and for the quiet joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. He cherished sharing a good glass of wine, tending to his garden, and gathering with the people who mattered most to him. His warmth, kindness, and easygoing spirit made those moments richer for everyone fortunate enough to share them. Gary had a way of making people feel comfortable and valued, and his presence will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his sister, Denise (Reno) Tanguay; his nieces, Staci (Alan) McNeil, Traci (Rob) Rager, and Jaime Valentine; and his nephews, Sean (Crystal) Toth, Reno Tanguay Jr., Gregg Valentine Jr., and Glenn Valentine Jr. He is also lovingly remembered by his many great-nieces and great-nephews, who will continue to carry his memory forward.
Gary will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Burial in Wooster Cemetery will be held at a later date, and there are no calling hours. A private Celebration of Life was held with family and close friends.
