Gary Robert Van Sciver

Gary Robert Van Sciver, age 72, passed away on February 18, 2025 in Voorhees, NJ surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Riverside, NJ to the late Elizabeth "Betty" and Albert Van Sciver Sr. He was raised in Willingboro, NJ and has resided in Springfield Township for over 41 years. He graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Gary worked for Rohm and Haas / Dow Chemical in Bristol, PA for over 44 years and had a fundamental impact on how the chemical industry approaches Process Safety. In his free time, Gary enjoyed hunting and golfing. He was a dedicated baseball coach for his two sons. Gary had an inquisitive mind and never stopped learning. What he cherished most was the time he spent with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia "Patty" Van Sciver; his sons, Michael Van Sciver (Christina Hansen) and Robert "Rob" Van Sciver (Elvia); his granddaughters, Milagro "Mila" and Emily "Emmy" Van Sciver and his siblings, Albert Van Sciver Jr. (Joanne), Ronney Van Sciver (Karen) and Brett Van Sciver (Michelle). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday February 28, 2025 from 2-4 pm at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals 212 Ark Road Mount Laurel, NJ 08054, followed immediately by his memorial service at 4pm.
