Gary Howard West

Gary Howard West, a loving husband and dear friend, passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 19, 1957. Gary was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. While he was born and raised in Phoenix, he later moved to Mount Juliet to be closer to his family. Gary shared 25 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife Sharon Sue. He is survived by his 2 children, Derek and Traci, as well as 7 precious grandchildren. Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gary's dedication to his family was unwavering, and he poured 40 years of his life into life to teaching and had a strong passion for education. In addition to his teaching career, he was also committed to coaching elementary school sports, where he impacted the lives of many young athletes. Beyond his professional life, Gary was an active athlete himself for many years, having played baseball for Grand Canyon University and playing tennis in his free time.
Gary's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will forever be cherished and remembered for the love and light he brought into the lives of those around him.
