Gary William Whaley

Gary William Whaley, 74, of Chesterfield passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Born February 22, 1948, he was the son of Charles and Adele Whaley whom he preceded in death.
Gary leaves behind his loving wife, Rae Jean Whaley; brother, Dennis Whaley (Kristie); sons, Scott Whaley (Buffy) and Eric Whaley; grandchildren, Krissa Slack (Robert), Chelsey Whaley (Michael) Chanceler Whaley and Dawson Layne; great-grandson, Kayden Hoffmann; and a great-granddaughter expected July 2023.
Gary enjoyed music, reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Rae Jean, and his loyal side kick, Sadie. Gary was a man of many talents. One of his most notable talents and hobbies was making music with many various groups throughout Virginia.
The family of Gary will hold a viewing on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 2:00PM until 3:30PM at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
The family will host family and friends "Music Jam" after the viewing at 6610 Apamatica Lane, Chesterfield till 6. Musicians are welcome to bring their instruments to the home.
