Gary Irwin Whitwell, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Chapel, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., River Oaks, TX 76114.
Gary was born on Monday, December 31, 1945, in Columbia, TN to Clarence and Iva Whitwell.
He graduated from Columbia High School in 1965 where he went on to attended business school. After successfully working through several career fields, Gary spent most of his professional life with Southern Prosthetic Supply as a Regional Sales Manager. He was also an active member of the community; volunteering with organizations such as Citizens on Patrol and Summerfields Neighborhood Association. In his retirement years, he worked with the Fort Worth Police Department as the COPs Coordinator for the North Division.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Whitwell; daughters, Macy Whitwell Collins, Mandi Whitwell; son, Chris Whitwell and wife Gina; and grand/great grandchildren, Cynthia Morris, Roman Cantu, Ryan Whitwell, Dallas Porter, Za'Maya Porter, Derrick Porter Jr., Shaniya Hodge, and Lillianna Cantu.
