Gary Wiesemann Obituary

Gary Wiesemann, 59, of La Grange, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Gary was born January 25, 1966, in Quincy, IL to Harold Eugene and Peggy (Shoop) Wiesemann.

Survivors include his two children, Michael Wiesemann of Harvard, IL, and Megan (Wiesemann) Kush (Ryan) of Fox River Grove, IL; two grandchildren, Payton Kush and Jordyn Kush; his mother, Peggy Wiesemann; and one sister, Carol Wiesemann.

Gary was preceded in death by his father; both sets of grandparents, Ray and Doras Wiesemann, and Hubert and Carlene Shoop; one Uncle, Paul Wiesemann; and one Aunt Delores Wiesemann.

Gary graduated from Highland High School in Ewing, MO. He worked as an installer at Knapheide for over 15 years.

Gary found solace and excitement in the beauty of nature. He was an avid deer hunter and his passion for fishing was well-known. He could often be found casting lines at Wakonda State Park, Bennett Springs, and the river. He enjoyed watching Andy Griffith, reading sporting magazines, and listening to country music.

Private family services will be held with burial at Riverview Cemetery in La Grange, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation or American Diabetes Association.
