Gary Linn Wilson, 72, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 16, 1953, to the late Joe and Helen Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Wilson and Hal Wilson; sister, Carol Whittington.
Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marsha Wilson; daughters, Kimberly Walker, Lori Lynn Holland (William), and Stacie Reid (Tim); brothers, Doug Wilson and family, Robert Wilson (Becky) and family; sister, Rose Ann Leiner (Michael); sisters-in-law, Susan Wilson and family, Sandy Wilson and family; brother-in-law, Jerry Whittington; grandchildren, Ashley Morrow (William), Brittany Coffey (Dylan), Zachary Walker, Hannah Key, Wyatt Key, Abigale Story (Cole), Phoebe Reid, Jaxon Holland, Jalen Holland, and Jase Holland; great-grandchildren, Fox Morrow, Louise Morrow, and Amelia Story.
As a member of the Grace Church family, Gary faithfully maintained the cooling equipment at the Grace Food Pantry for over 20 years. His generous heart and consistent kindness made him someone everyone appreciated and admired.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from Noon until 2:00 PM at Sugar Valley Baptist Church.
The service to honor and remember Gary’s life will follow at 2:00 PM from Sugar Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Phillips and Rev. Tim Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Zachary Walker, Wyatt Key, William Morrow, Dylan Coffey, Cole Story, Jaxon Holland, and Jase Holland. Honorary pallbearers are William Holland, Blake Studdard, Bobby Shirley, and Brent Rutledge.
