Graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Akers Chapel Cemetery in Hull, IL. Pastor Curt Riley will officiate.
The family is being served by James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.
Gary was born October 4, 1961, in Hannibal, MO to Gary Wright and Sharon Lovelace Wright.
Survivors include several children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Richard Wright (Laura), Jack Wright, and Kevin Wright; special niece and caretaker, Lorraine Weatherby; and several other nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard Holden; and one brother, Robert Wright.
Professionally, Gary previously worked in maintenance at Res care in Hannibal, MO.
Gary was a simple man that enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and reading his Bible. Gary could also be found out thrift shopping looking for a deal. Most of all, Gary cherished the moments spent with family and friends.
Gary was a member of Tabernacle of Praise in Hannibal, MO.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shelbina-Baptist Homes Healthcare Ministries.
