Gavin Hensel Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gavin Charles Hensel, age 29, on February 27, 2025. Born on December 18, 1995, Gavin was a beloved son, brother, father, grandson, cousin, uncle, and friend. His kind spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gavin is survived by his mother, Amanda; father, Jason; sister, Grace (and her fiancé Jalen); sister, Chloe; son, Sebastian; Sebastian's mother, Jessie; Nana, Diane Shinkle; Mamaw, Brenda Klemme and Papaw Paul Klemme. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. Gavin's grandfather, Papaw Buddy Charles Shinkle, preceded him in death and will be awaiting him in heaven.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 E Main St, Greenwood, IN 46143. The funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Baptist Temple, 4002 E Southport Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
Gavin's love for his family, friends, and son will forever be cherished. We find comfort in knowing that his light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a fund for his family and son, Sebastian, to help support his future.
We will forever hold Gavin in our hearts and honor his memory through the love he shared with us all
