Gavin McNabb Obituary

"If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever." – Winnie the Pooh

Our sweet and kind Gavin left this world unexpectedly, held tightly in his parents’ arms on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. While our pain is just beginning, Gavin’s is no more. He has found peace - leaving this life to pass through heaven’s door. Gavin was born September 9th, 2011, in Kansas City, Kansas.

During Gavin’s too short life, he brought immense joy to all who had the pleasure of being with him. With a smile that would brighten a room, a generous nature that made him quick to lend a hand, and a connoisseur of awful “Dad” jokes; he never failed to provoke a smile and lift a mood. Everyone who knew him remembered him by his gentle nature and kind soul. He loved video games, computer coding and 3D printing. He was quick to try new adventures and loved rollercoasters, heights, and anything that would give him an adrenaline rush. He wrestled, enjoyed archery and fencing. But he found his passion in Cross Country running this last year.

Gavin was greeted in heaven by his paternal great-grandparents, maternal great-grandfather, his Uncle Pierce and Cousin Tyler. He is survived by his parents, Jacqueline and Kyle, his brother, Gabriel, his grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Gavin’s unending generosity continued after his passing, as he donated his heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, and pancreas so that five others may live.

A visitation will be held at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch, CO on Saturday February 1st, from 2pm-4pm, with a Memorial Service to follow.
