Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation - Southeast Denver/AuroraIt is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Tony Szado’s passing on July 21st, 2025. He lived a full life of 71 years as a selfless father, a caring husband, and a man who made a lasting impact on so many lives. Born on July 16, 1954, Tony grew to become a devout Catholic, allowing his faith to guide his future. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing and golfing, and most importantly, in the time spent with those he loved most. There was no request too demanding or moment too important for him to put his wants in front of those in need.
Tony’s accolades throughout his career made his family proud as they were earned by positively impacting the future of those who worked with him. Without those awards, you wouldn’t have known of his successes, as he lived his life around the mantra “always be humble”. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Tony’s generosity and kindness were contagious, engraving themselves into his family and allowing his legend to live on. He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy Szado; his daughter, Rachel Martin (husband, Dustin); his son, Anthony Szado (wife, Sarah); and two cherished grandchildren, Declan and Macksen Martin.
A funeral Mass to honor and celebrate Tony’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (19909 E Floyd Ave, Aurora, CO 80013). All are welcome to attend and share in remembering a life so beautifully lived.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, and only if you feel so moved, the family welcomes condolences or memorial contributions sent to the Szado home at 5342 S. Lewiston Ct, Centennial, CO 80015. Tony’s legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in all who knew him.
