In loving memory of Gavin Lee Summers
Gavin grew up in Camdenton, Missouri with his parents, and attended Camdenton High School. He finished his high school diploma in Willard, Missouri. After high school Gavin lived in the Springfield area.
Gavin had a lifelong love of soccer and football. He was also an avid reader and loved learning about history. Gavin was a mostly self-taught musician and could play guitar by ear. Some of our fondest memories were when he played lead guitar as a guest musician at various venues at Lake of the Ozarks as a young teenager. He enjoyed painting and gifting those works to others. Gavin loved to cook for others and was an excellent cook. Gavin also loved dogs and was extremely fond of pit bulls and German shepherds.
Gavin's previous employment included positions at Red Monkey Spice Company and John Deere Reman. He was most recently employed as an Indirect Procurement-Operations Analyst for Bass Pro Shops, located at their Base Camp HQ in Springfield, MO.
Gavin was preceded in death by his father, Alan Summers.
Gavin Summers is survived by his mother, Leslie Ross and his stepfather, Don Ross; Justin Ross, stepbrother and Greyson Ross, his half-brother; grandparents, Deborah and Richard Ragain and Joda Bass. In Wales, UK, he is survived by his grandma, Marie; aunt, Diane; and many cousins. Gavin had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Missouri, Michigan and Oklahoma as well.
Gavin will be forever missed!
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Gavin's name to the Lost and Found Grief Center in Springfield, MO at Donate - Lost and Found Grief Center (lostandfoundozarks.com)
