Gay Lynne “Gig” Hilton, 78, passed away on August 1, 2024 in Schoenbrunn Retirement Center at New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health.
Born on June 2, 1946 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jeanette (Kaderly) Moore.
She was a graduate of Stone Creek High School. She worked for several years at Rich Industries. But her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.
Gay is survived by her former husband and friend, Ronald Hilton; daughters, Tara (Donald Fording) Jones of Titusville, Florida, Rhonda (David Byas) Hilton of Dallas, Texas, and Christine (Chris) Hilton-Leggett of Dover; son, Lennie Brown of Midvale; grandchildren, David Jones, Jessica Jones, Justin (Alleigh) Jones, Alec Long, Hanna Long, Brittany (Dusty) Braun, and Lexis Haney; twelve great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sheila Moore; niece, Shari (Bill) Dine; nephew, Ryan Moore; and numerous foster children she cared for through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Jeanette Moore; sons, Gary Haney, and Lonnie Brown; and brothers, Thomas Moore, and Terry Moore.
Cremation care has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet guests on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia.
