Gayle Chambers Obituary
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Catherine DeMoss officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY he was born February 22, 1947 the son of the late Walter Thomas Chambers, Sr. and Wilma Leona Rittenberry Chambers. He retired from AT&T after 36 years. He was a United States Navy veteran. He was a member of First Christian Church, the Optimist Club, the Corvette Club, and the Telephone Pioneers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Brenda Joiner Chambers; and his brothers: Walter "T.C." Chambers and James Clayton Chambers.
Survivors include his children: Heather Chambers (Tyler) Kemp, Hillary Chambers (Chad) Sledd, and Heath (Heather Grace) Chambers all of Franklin, TN; his brother: Chuck (Saranne) Chambers of Hopkinsville, KY; and his grandchildren: Mara Perez, Mila Perez, and Mason Chambers.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Alive Hospice.
