Gayle Lynne Fornshell, 61, of Arthur, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon. Gayle was born November 28, 1963 in Carlinville, the daughter of Eldon and Sherron (Ruberg) Vance. She married Lester William "Bill" Fornshell III in Sullivan on October 20, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Bill Fornshell of Arthur; two sons, Zachary (Heather) Smith of Mattoon; Caleb (Whitney) Smith of Sullivan; daughter, Abbey (Nolan) Bone of Shelbyville; two stepsons, Lester William Fornshell IV (Teresa) of Tuscola; Daniel (Natalia) Fornshell of Bozeman, Montana; stepdaughter, Jessica (Vernon) Stephens of Clinton, Missouri; brother, Scott (Christine) Vance of Girard. She was a beloved "GG" to Owen, Olivia, Ethan, Sophia, Cooper Smith and Blaine, and soon-to-be-born Boyd Bone, Kenzie, Khloe, Veronika, Viktor Fornshell and Garret and Madison Stephens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Sherron Vance, and her father-in-law, Lester William Fornshell II. Gayle was a graduate of Virden High School Class of 1981. She was a Payroll Administrator at CHI Overhead Doors in Arthur. Gayle was a member of the Arthur Southern Baptist Church. Her greatest passions in life were serving God and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Arthur Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00a.m. on Saturday at the church. Shrader Funeral Home, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Arthur Southern Baptist Church or Operation Christmas Child. Online condolences to the family may be shared at www.hilligossshraderfh.com.
