Gaylord Troy Shepherd

Gaylord Troy (G.T.) Shepherd passed away on March 14, 2025 at the age of 82 with his wife and his daughter at his side.
He was under the care of hospice and Visiting Angels, with a very special angel named Elizabeth.
G.T. was a proud Marine who served honorably in Vietnam. He retired from Osram Sylvania in Versailles, KY where he made several lifelong friends. He loved fishing, gardening, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, "the love of his life," Pam Hall Shepherd, "his world"-his daughter Janice Shepherd, his son-in-law Dylan Mason, and his grandson Finneas Shepherd Mason whom he already loved dearly.
Also surviving are his brothers, Charlie (Estrella), Clifford, Steve, and Lawrence Shepherd, his sisters, Margaret (Jim) Wright, Dorothy Mae Shaw, and Alice Grueter, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Lorene Baker Shepherd, brother Michael Dean Shepherd, and his sisters, Barbara Sue Beach and Gladys Vendler.
A celebration of G.T.'s life will be held on Saturday, March 22 at Clark Legacy Center, 601 E. Brannon Rd., Nicholasville: viewing from 12:00-1:00 pm, Minister Bobby Cairell's prayer and welcome to the luncheon at Clark Legacy Center at 1:00 pm.
Inurnment with military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Ln., Williamstown, KY on Friday, March 28 at 2:00 pm.
