Geary Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeArman Pickard Funeral Home - Stratford on Apr. 11, 2025.
Geary "Joe" Clark was born on Sunday, October 13, 1956 in Wynnewood Oklahoma to Betty Jo (Smith) and Leonard William Clark, Sr. He passed from this life on Wednesday, April, 9, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Joe was raised and attended schools in Moore, Oklahoma. After graduation, he worked as a mechanic at various full-service filling stations near his home for many years. He was a musician who loved playing and teaching others the banjo and guitar. He was a member of many garage bands in his early years and was a champion domino player at the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Festival and Reunion in Shawnee. He always made sure his grandchildren had the opportunity to attend the reunion and pow wow when he could. He loved fishing, nature and animals and they loved him back. He would even bait your hook and take off the fish if you needed it.
Joe loved his daughter, Amanda, and his grandchildren more than life itself. He was always so loving to family. He moved to Tishomingo over 10 years ago but always made a point to visit family as often as he could.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Amanda Clark of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, his grandchildren: Ryett McDonald of Norman, Laine McDonald of McLoud, Blake McDonald, Heather McDonald, Brittney McDonald, and Emily Benton all of Moore, and Jazmen Dancer of Midwest City. His niece Jenifer Clark from Kirbyville Missouri, great-nephew Cody Clark and great-great nephew Ryder Clark from Highlandville, Missouri, nephew Johnny Clark and his wife Cindy from Trophy Club, Texas and great-nephew Bryce Clark from Earlsboro, OK.
He is also survived by numerous cousins, and a host of friends he treated as family.
Joe is preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty and Bill Clark, a daughter Tara Luallen, and brother, Leonard Clark, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
