Geary Defrancesco Obituary
Geary Vincent deFrancesco, a longtime resident of Stamford and beloved father, Papou, Great-Popou and friend, passed away at Stamford Hospital on the evening of Friday, September 30, 2022 with his daughters at his side. Geary was born in Kutztown, PA on July 17, 1937. He was 85 years old at the time of his passing.
Geary's loves were playing golf, reading, doing crosswords and listening to Jazz. But above all, his greatest love was spending time with his family.
Geary was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia Christine (Verses) deFrancesco. He is survived by his two daughters Samantha and Alexis deFrancesco; his granddaughters Nikki deFrancesco and her companion Curtis Lee Dunmore and Hayley Navarrete; great-grandsons Curtis Lee Dunmore, Jr. "CJ" and Jayden Lee Dunmore; his brother and sister-in-law Keith and Donna DeFrancesco; nephews Michael deFrancesco and Steve Keith; nieces Elizabeth and Margaret Keith; and many friends and extended family. In addition to his wife, Geary was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Daniel Keith.
A celebration of Geary's life will take place on October 13, 2022 between 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. The interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org or the American Cancer Society at donate3.cancer.org.

I´m so sorry for your loss Sam. But you did what most would never even know how to do it & how hard it is to take care of a parent with Alzheimer´s or dementia. Your the only person I know that did the same thing I´m doing with my mom. I just pray that I can be as strong as you were & have your dad with you till the very end. All my prayers my friend. Dan
