Gene Chamberlain, age 85, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born November 15, 1938, to the late Jack Chamberlain and Geneva Hall Chamberlain. Gene will be remembered as a conversationist and a sports enthusiast who loved his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Gene was also preceded in death by his brother, Troy Chamberlain.
He is survived by three daughters, Karen Faris and Sandy Deskins both of Abingdon, Va.; and Leah Hall of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Emilee McDaniels, Austin Faris, Kaycee Deskins, Lance Faris, and Linck Hall.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Perry Cremation & Funeral Alternatives, 1000 W. Main St., Abingdon, Va. 24210.
