Gene Combs

Mr. Gene Combs, age 94, a resident of the Whites Creek community of Spring City, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Life Care of Morgan County, in Wartburg, Tennessee. He was born March 31, 1931, in Christopher, a community just outside of Hazard in Perry County, Kentucky. He was a member of the Whites Creek Baptist Church in Rockwood and also attended several other area churches. Mr. Combs was a retired Route Salesman with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, but his passion was fishing and making fishing lures. Most of all, he was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Navor & Malinda Combs; wife, Clara Combs; brother, Joe Combs; and sister, Corba Cornett.

Several Great Grandchildren

And several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Roger Britton officiating. Private family interment will be in the Glen Allice Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee, is honored to serve the family of Mr. Gene Combs.
