Joseph Eugene "Gene" Gerald, 54, of Hope Mills, NC, passed away October 2, 2025. Born January 21, 1971, in Wilson, NC, Gene was the son of Joe E. Gerald and the late Sylvia W. Gerald. In addition to his mother, Gene was proceeded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Robbyn Gerald; Father, Joe E. Gerald; Children, Michael Gerald (Kat), Chasity White (Johnathon), Sydney Gerald (Cole), Edward Gerald, Kylee Kio (Nate); Grandchildren, Peyton, Hunter G, Novalee, Emerson, Cayden, Hunter L., Kaine; Sisters, Jody Phillips, Jennifer Stafford (Denton); Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and a host of other family and friends.
Gene will be remembered for his passion for sports, as he loved playing golf, watching the Carolina Tarheels play, as well as the Redskins, and collecting baseball cards and sports memorabilia.
