Eugene "Gene" Lamar Kopecky, Jr., 72, of San Angelo, Texas passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, in San Angelo.
Gene was born April 5, 1950, to Beth & Lamar Kopecky in Midland, Texas. He graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1968. He attended college at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Gene spent much of his adult life in the construction industry in Colorado, first as a carpenter, then as a contractor. He returned to San Angelo to help take care of his parents in 2012, and worked at Lowe's – a job he really enjoyed – until his retirement.
Gene is survived by his mother, Beth Kopecky of San Angelo, Texas, and by his sister, Martha (Marti) Suiter of Osceola, Missouri, three nephews and one niece, and many cousins.
He will be missed by all!
The graveside service will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 28, 2022 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
