Mrs. Geneva Ellis Livengood Robbins, 79, of Pfafftown, NC, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 16, 1944, in Saltville, VA, to the late William R. Ellis, Sr. “Poppy” and Almeda Robbins Ellis “Granny”.
Geneva was of the baptist faith and attended Woodland Baptist Church for over 30 years every Sunday. She loved her church, church family, and most of all, her Lord and Savior. Geneva loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything, and enjoyed spending time with them as much as she could. She also enjoyed going to the beach when she was able until her health declined. Geneva was employed by Shores Fine Fabrics Dry Cleaners for 24 years, and she enjoyed her customers daily.
In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Wesley Livengood; her son, Donald Wayne Livengood; her second husband, Jim Robbins; sisters, Virginia Morrison, Sarah Frances Goins, Tiny “Tootsie” Perrell, and Mary Hart; and her brothers, Jim Ellis, W.R Ellis Jr. “Junior”, Everett Ellis, and Ted Ellis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Teresa Livengood Norman; stepdaughter, Missy Robbins Soto; brother, Robert Ellis (Sissy); grandchildren, Nicole Goddard (Mark), Beth Atkins (Michael), D.J. Livengood, Amber Livengood, and Ronnie Moffitt; great-grandchildren, Sophia Livengood, Deacon Livengood and Scout Livengood; and several special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 12:00PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Mark Leone officiating. The family will receive friends between 10:30AM – 12:00PM prior to her service at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow her service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Services of Winston-Salem, 3175 Maplewood Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to The Forsyth County Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
