Geneva "Jenny" Frances Knight was born 8/28/1933 in Lafayette, Tennessee. She passed away at the age of 92 on 12/8/2025 as result of metastatic breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Lucy Russell, sisters, Virginia Swallows and Inez Draper, brothers, Cortez and T.J. Russell and husband, Roy.
She moved from Tennessee to Indiana in 1950. From then until her passing she lived at various locations in Indianapolis and Greenwood. Throughout most of her adult life, Jenny was a homemaker. At times, she also worked outside the home as an apartment leasing agent and later a self-employed office cleaner.
Jenny married Roy O. Knight Christmas Eve 1949 and remained deeply in love until his passing in 1991. Jenny and Roy had three children, Shelia (Patrick) Guenin of Indianapolis, Rick (Nancy) Knight of Grapevine, TX and Kurt (Joan) Knight of Olive Branch, MS. In addition to her children, she is also survived by nine grandchildren, Kyla (Michael) Davis, Krista Guenin, Brianna (Armando) Hernandez, Hilary (Perry) Lee, Kristopher (Alicia Jay) Knight, Daniel (Jessica) Yoquelet, Amanda (James) Ball, Jessika (Nick) Hassenzahl, David (Paige) Knight and 21 great-grandchildren.
She loved gardening, houseplants, playing 500 Rummy, traveling/cruising and watching Indiana Fever and Indiana Pacer games on TV. She loved country music and dancing. Her favorite color was pink and worn often.
Following Roy's passing, Jenny was fortunate to have additional loving relationships with Sim Nettles and subsequently with Garland Moore who both preceded in her in passing.
