Geneva McDole Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Funeral Home - Heslop Chapel - Martins Ferry on Jan. 2, 2026.
Geneva L. (Plumley) McDole, 90 of Brilliant, Ohio formerly of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 12, 1935, in Ashton, WV, the daughter of the late Herman and Leona (Smith) Plumley.

Geneva was Methodist by faith, she was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant from the former, Rosewood Manor Nursing Home in Yorkville, Ohio. She approached life with warmth, pragmatism, and optimism, characteristics she brought to her many activities, puzzles, music, bingo but her ultimate joy was her family. As a loving mother, she poured her heart into raising her family, ensuring their home was always a place of warmth and nurture. Geneva's spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, as she touched many lives through her kindness and dedication to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William McDole, great-grandson, Nathaniel McDole, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tammy (Frank) Krapa, son, Timothy (Laurie Jones) Plumley, grandchildren, David E. (Autumn) McDole, and Anna Krapa, great-granddaughters, Hailley, Lexi, and Saddie McDole.

In keeping with her wishes all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home-Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43912.
