Harry K. McDole

Harry K. McDole, 85, of Sussex, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hamburg, NJ, on August 26, 1940, to the late Walter and Etta McDole, Harry was a lifelong resident of Sussex County. He worked for Ames Rubber Corporation in Hamburg for 42 years, followed by 17 years of service at Franklin Elementary School before retiring.
A devoted and loving father, Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending his Sundays visiting friends at Simon Peter's Sports Shop.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sophia McDole (1977); his parents; his brothers and sisters; his grandson-in-law, Matthew Gillis; and his loving companion, Patricia Eldred. Harry is survived by his son, David McDole and his wife, Sheri; his daughter, Donna Hendricks and her fiancé, Roger McCarren; his grandchildren, Sheila Rivas and her husband, Ray, Cheyenne Strowbridge and her husband, Steven, and Ashley Gillis; and his cherished great- grandchildren, Giuliana and Lucas Rivas. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Scott.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with interment at North Hardyston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
