Geneva Mae Scrimsher, 87, of Carlisle, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones January 1, 2026. Geneva was born in Havana, Arkansas on January 8, 1938, to Claud Doffes Cherry and Florence Jane Robinson Cherry.
Geneva married Calvin Scrimsher on May 2, 1957, and they celebrated 57 years together the year of his passing in 2014. Also preceding her are both her parents; sons, Harold David Scrimsher, Calvin Earl Scrimsher and grandson, Christopher Wayne Bryant.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda Jackson and her husband Gary, of Lonoke, Arkansas; Connie Jenkins of Lonoke, Arkansas; and Shirley Bryant and her husband Larry of Carlisle; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; very special caregivers and family friends, Barbara Ann & Bobby Bailey.
A special thank you to Barbara Ann and Bobby Bailey for her care and assistance during this incredibly difficult time. We appreciate everything you have done.
Geneva will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
