Genevieve M. "Genni" (Widhelm) Cerny, 65 years, of North Bend, NE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Nye Legacy in Fremont, NE.
Genni was born on January 6, 1959, to Ralph and Kathy (Lemke) Widhelm in Fremont, NE. She began her wonderful life in North Bend, NE. She was a 1977 graduate of North Bend Central. Genni had a long career helping others at (Gambles) Our Own Hardware in North Bend, NE. On December 28, 1988, Genni married Steven Cerny in Fremont, NE. Genni was a kind, fun, gentle soul who dedicated her life to family and her community. She enjoyed her grandchild, extended nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Steven Albert; sister, Linda Parson (Carl McElroy); brother-in-law's: Don O'Neill, Dan Agosta, and Steve Pruss.
Those who continue her legacy includes her husband, Steven James Cerny; son, Jonathan Allen Albert; step-daughter, Tania (Rick) Dohrman; grandchildren: Zoey and her mother, Shawna Selvick, Makayla, Courtney, and Bryce: and two twin great-grandchildren; siblings: Doris (Mike) O'Malley, Gary (Robin) Widhelm, Jane O'Neill, Greg Widhelm, Nancy (Dennis) Petersen; brothers-in-laws: Ronald (Marion) Cerny and Randy Cerny; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held.
